RunBlogRun opines: Tirunesh Dibaba is the finest Olympic and World Championship racer at 10,000m and 5,000m. Her move to the marathon has been quite successful. Her DNF in London in 2018, while disappointing, taught her many things. Dibaba does not make the same mistakes twice.
Her race in Berlin was good, just not perfect. Racing in the hot weather that will be Tokyo marathon will change everything. Like her golds at 10,000 meters, the marathon in Tokyo is about she who makes the least wrong moves.
Tirunesh aims for Olympic marathon gold
NEW DELHI (IND): Former Olympic 5000m and 10,000m champion Tirunesh Dibaba is aiming for marathon gold at the 2020 Olympics, informs the Asian Age. “My previous Olympic gold medals are on the track and my next aim is to win marathon gold in the Olympics. I will try my best to achieve that feat in the 2020 Tokyo,” she said. Dibaba is racing in the New Delhi Half Marathon tomorrow against world record-holder Joyciline Jepkosgei.
