The 2019 European Indoor Championships were held March 1-3, 2019 at the Emirates Arena to a sell out crowd. Some fantastic performances and several new stars emerged. Katarina Johnson-Thompson fourth best ever pentathlon score, Laura Muir 8:30.61 is fastest ever indoor championships time (and 28.32 last 200 m).

SURPRISE OF THE DAY
Italian high jump ladies (Vallortigara, Trost) out in qualification. Low level of men´s 400m where 47+ was enough for finals.

It was tough. But I just knew I could not lose it here. It is my home track and I know it so well. To win in Glasgow is one of the best highlights of my career – if not the best,” Laura Muir.
“It’s been a great day, it’s been amazing. I was going to say I couldn’t really ask for more, but I felt in the long jump I could have maybe gone a bit more. I was really happy with how it went overall,” Katarina Johnson Thompson.
