Face it. Elaine Thompson is fit. She has the World leaders at the 100m and 200m, 10.73 and 22.00, yet she is doing what she does, playing the ” well, its a long season and lot to do” demeanor. Do not be misled. The women’s sprints are absolute warfare and Pre has scary fields!

Elaine complained about how she felt in the 200m. “It was hard and I had to work at it.” In @fastelaine, it means, early season racing sucks.

We got Elaine for a couple of minutes at the Pre Presser on 29 June and we have posted it below. I have interviewed Elaine Thompson all over the world, and she is one of our sport’s most colorful and competitive athletes. She just not give up. The achilles are good and she wants to race! Post event update: Elaine Thompson took second in 22.21, with Blessing Okagbare taking big win in 22.05.
