This is update on a few of the top events on 7 December.

US INDOOR SATURDAY (Dec 7)

BOSTON: Fast 5000 m races at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Kenyan recent NCAA CC Champion Edwin Kurgat clocked 13:24.04 overall PB ahead of steeple specialist Don Cabral 13:25.56 indoor PB and Canadian Charles Philibert-Thiboutot 13:30.79 overall PB in his indoor debut at the distance. In the women race Taylor Werner (21) big PB 15:11.19 beating Katie Izzo 15:13.09 also big PB also and Eritrean Weini Kelati 15:14.71 national record. Under 15:30 also Whittni Orton sensational PB in debut at the distance 15:22.98 followed by Bethany Hasz 15:25.33 PB, Spain´s Carmela Cardama 15:25.41 Spanish indoor record and Danielle Shanahan 15:26.91 PB. In the 300 m Nigel Green 33.42 PB and in women mile PB for Denmark´s Anna Juul 4:44.45.

CLEMSON: Stephanie Davis (20) achieved fast 37.10 PB in women 300 m at Clemson Opener. Jamaican Jeanine Williams clocked 8.12 in the 60 m hurdles. In men´s 60 m J.J. Sherman 6.74, 200 m winner Evan Miller (19) 21.16 overall PB and Marcus Parker 33.20 PB in the 300 m.

PITTSBURG: In Kansas at Crimson and Gold Invitational, Mark Doyley won the 60 m in 6.74 PB, Dondrea Swint clocked 21.18 indoor PB in the 200 m and double for French Arnaud Taki 1:12.83 in the 600 yards and 4:14.85 over the mile.

CARBONDALE: Huge 25.08 in women weight throw by NCAA 2018 champion Janeah Stewart at the Saluki Fast meet. After Gwen Berry and Brittany Riley she is only third ever with 25+ mark. Jeneva Stevens won shot with 18.02 over Jessica Ramsey 17.61. In men´s weight throw Daniel Roberts 22.73.

ITHACA: Spanish sprinter Bruno Hortelano clocked at Greg Page Relays in the 60 m 6.82 in heats and winning 6.83 in the finals. For Hortelano first 60 m races since 2016, he competed only once in 2019 due to an injury.

COLLEGE STATION: Bahamian 200 m World finalist from Doha Tynia Gaither won the women 60 m at the Reveille Invitational with 7.42.

HOUSTON: 18-years old St.Lucia sprinter Julien Alfred clocked 7.18 national indoor record in heats and 7.23 in final of the women 60 m. Her time means also 8th position in the World All-time U20 indoor list. Micaiah Harris won men´s 60 m in 6.67 PB (he is 20.09 200 m runner from summer) and Barbados talent Jonathan Jones 21.33 in the 200 m. Jamaican triple specialist O´Brien Wasome leaped to 784 overall PB in the long jump.

FORT WAYNE: At Mastodon Opener Qawtavis Johnson won the 60 m in 6.71.

MARYVILLE: Elijah Berry (18) won the 600 y at Mel Tjeerdsma Classic with 1:10.81 in debut at the distance.

WEST POINT: World relay gold medalist Lalonde Gordon from Trinidad and Tobago won the 200 m in 21.40.

WEST LAFAYETTE: Bahama´s NACAC U23 medalist Samson Colebrooke clocked 6.72 in the 60 m at the Fred Wilt Open.

YOUNGSTOWN: From Friday´s College Icebraker meet to add fast 45.78 (indoor best) in the 400 m by Brycen Spratling ahead of Trevor Bassitt 46.88 PB. The track is oversized, 300 m length.
