BANSKA BYSTRICA (SVK, Feb 11): Cuba’s Luis Zayas and Jamal Wilson from the Bahamas matched the world lead of 2.33m at the 26th Banskobystrická latka (EA Indoor Special Premium) with Zayas winning the competition on countback by virtue of first-time clearances at 2.20m, 2.25m, 2.31m and 2.33m. For both personal bests and Olympic standard. Great Britain’s Tom Gale, who cleared 2.33m in Hustopece at the weekend, continued his good form with a third place finish with a third-time clearance at 2.31m with Poland’s Sylwester Bednarek fourth at 2.28m.
