by Larry EderI enjoyed the Bauhaus Galan Meeting today. It continued the good vibes we got last week in Monaco. It was not Monaco, as no one can be Monaco but Monaco, but Stockholm DL gave us a strong athletic showcase.
What you will see below are my top 5 deep thoughts on the Bauhaus Galan!

1. Karston Warholm showed that he is at the highest level in the 400m hurdles. The 400m hurdles is a sadist’ event. It combines the long sprint with ten hurdles. Warholm went nearly perfect, clipping just one hurdles, and in the process, missing the World record. Karsten did set a new European record, a new meet record, a new Diamond League record and new Norwegian record. And, he did it in lane eight!

In his 400m non hurdle event, Karston Warholm blasted down the last 100m, and won in a seasonal best, 45.05. Warholm is capable and oh so close to changing Kevin Young’s name on the World record books.
2. Mondo Duplantis moved the WL up to 6.01m. He also went up and challenged the outdoor world record. One day, the outdoor record
will be his. But, until then, the Swede will enthrall his country’s sports and athletics enthusiasts. An exciting athlete, Mondo has a
wonderul dialogue with the audience, and his competitors.

3. Daniel Stahl is most gregarious, well, as a Swede. He lets the discus do the talking and at 69 plus meters today, he gave Sweden
another win to be happy about. Stahl is a mighty talent in the discus and he has many medals ahea

4. Laura Muir took the 1,500m out and got the win and the world leader. She knows how to dig in, isolate and make the others hurt beyond
belief. Trained by Andy Young, and training with Jemma Reekie, Laura is on fire!

5. Donavan Brazier has won ten straight races in 2020. In the last week, he won the 800m in Monaco at 1:43.15, he won the 600m in
last mad dash to the line. His well timed and executed move in Stockholm today, winning in 1:43.76, showed that Donavan Brazier is here to
stay!
