I had wanted to go to Gydnia, Poland. I love Poland. They put on excellent athletics, and they also have excellent beer and good food. In 2014, i visited Sopot. In 2019, I visited Torun, Poland in 2019 and went to a fun meet.
Due to the pandemic, I will be covering the event remotely. It should be an amazing event, and World Athletics has gone to amazing lengths to take care of the athletes, coaches, and officials.

GDYNIA (POL): Entry lists have been published for the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships Gdynia on 17 October. Fastest on PBs is Kenya’s Kibiwott Kandie, who ran 59:38 earlier this year. Abraham Cheroben is the next quickest of 10 sub-hour runners. Ababel Yeshaneh, who set a world record of 64:31 at the Ras Al Khaimah in February, heads the women’s entries. Joycilline Jepkosgei and Sifan Hassan are also included in a line-up which has seven sub-66-minute women. In total 157 men and 126 women from 62 teams have been entered for the championships to take place in the northern Polish city, the only World Athletics Series event on the global calendar in 2020. The gun will sound the start of the women’s race at 11am local time, while the men’s is scheduled to get underway at 12:30.
