Donavan Brazier told us that he likes to open up at 600 meters. He told me this am that he will not be letting up wiith 150 meters to go as he did in Boston at 2020 NB Indoor GP. Donavan told the media that he’s not sure about his shape in 2021. We will all see tomorrow, I will say he’s in great shape.

ATLANTA: The full start list for Sunday’s next round of the American Track League, which will include events in the 60m, 200m, 600m, 60m hurdles, shot put and pole vault as well as a women’s mile and long jump, has been announced. The meet will air live on Sunday, January 31st at 1pm Central on ESPN2, with a new international broadcast partner to be announced shortly.

Morris, who will kick off her season Sunday, revealed her path to compete was slowed due to Covid, “I’m really excited to open my season finally. I had a really intense pre-season and right when I felt I was on a roll and ready to compete, my husband and I caught Covid. I’ve been back to training for about two weeks and fortunately I feel great. I have confidence I can open with a solid mark this weekend and am so thankful that ATL has put together this competitive opportunity. “

American Track League’s made-for-TV, four-meet, indoor elite track and field series is broadcast live on ESPN/ESPN2. The series, which features the top men’s and women’s track and field athletes in the world, are also part of the World Athletics 2021 Silver Label Tour.

The 2021 season, which was originally to take place in various cities around the USA, will take place at one location in order to create a strict and comprehensive COVID protocol for all athletes, coaches and officials. The four meets will be held on the campus of the University of Arkansas at the RandalTyson Track and Field Center. The 2021 edition of the American Track League will not have fans in attendance. However, these made-for-TV meets will be two hours in length and include some modified events to create more fan engagement and excitement.

As part of the World Athletics Continental Silver Tour, the athletes have the opportunity to earn bonus points, based on their performances, that can enhance their ability to advance to the Olympic Games in Tokyo. With international travel limited and the number of events leading into Olympic Trials in June still unconfirmed, the opportunity is critical for athletes to gain A standard scores to secure minimum eligibility for the games.
