ROUEN (FRA, ): Armand Duplantis regained the world lead from Renaud Lavillenie with a first-time clearance at 6.03m at the Perche Elite Tour in Rouen (WIT Silver) before three tries at a world record of 6.19m. Lavillenie and Chris Nilsen from the United States were equal second with first-time clearances at 5.93m while last year’s winner Sam Kendricks was fourth with 5.83m. Followed by Jacob Wooten, French Ethan Cormont (overall PB) and Cole Walsh (indoor PB) all with 573. In the women’s competition Holly Bradshaw cleared a world lead of 4.85m on her third attempt in her season’s debut, the second highest vault of her career behind her UK record of 4.87m. Bradshaw won by three heights from Iryna Zhuk, Alysha Newman, Eleni Klaoudia Polak and Tina Sutej, all of whom cleared 4.62m. Ekaterini Stefanidi retired from the competition after two fouls at 4.53m due to an injury.
