The Golden Spike is held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, and is one of the most iconic events in Central Europe.

Even with the early/late Spring season, the competition was fantastic! Alfons Juck and his amazing team put together fields that have to be respected. Even without 30,000 fans screaming in the stands, the performances shook up European and World Athletics.

I know this, I have promised Alfons that I would visit his event, and in the next couple of summers, it will be on the bucket list.
