VAL DE REUIL (FRA, Feb 14): At the Meeting de l´Eure in the Jesse Owens hall (WIT Silver) US hurdler Jarret Eaton spoiled local hopes in the 60 m hurdles final when he won in season best 7.50. Behind him Pascal Martinot-Lagarde 7.51 and Rafael Pereira 7.58 (again equaled South American record). Ugandan record and World lead for World champion Halimah Nakaayi 1:59.55 in the 800 m was the top result. Second Tigist Girma 2:01.68 and third Winnie Nanyondo 2:02.14. In 60 m sprints Mike Rodgers in 6.64 beat Ferdinand Omanyala 6.64, among women Kayla White 7.13 over Michelle-Lee Ahye 7.19. Spain´s Teresa Errandonea won women hurdles in 8.13. Excellent depth in women 3000 m with top 8 under 8:50. Winner Ayal Dagnachew clocked 8:41.32 ahead of Nadia Battocletti Italian record 8:41.72 and Worku Getachew 8:41.95. In fourth Tigiste Ketema 8:43.91. Slovenian record holder Tina Sutej won on count back pole vault over Iryna Zhuk of Belarus, both 470. Collins Kipruto topped men 800 m in 1:47.05 and Morrocan Abdelati El Guesse the 1000 m in 2:18.79 ahead of Adam Kszczot 2:19.14. Elliot Giles was the 1500 m winner in 3:40.24. Swiss Loic Gasch was the best in high jump 225 and Enzo Hodebar won the triple 16.68.
