Kingston, Jamaica, May 1, 2010, courtesy of YouTube

Last Saturday evening, in front of 40,000 of his closest friends, Usain Bolt dropped the fourth fastest time EVER, running 19.56 for his first 200 meters of the year. In second,
running into the screen for the last few seconds is Wallace Spearmon, Jr. who ran 19.98
for his third 200 meters of the season. The video is okay, but we wanted you to get a sense of the speed at which these two run.
After the 200 meters, in the awards ceremony, Usain Bolt had a prior engagement, so Wallace Spearmon, Jr., did the lightning bolt thing from the top of the awards stand, much to the pleasure of 40,000 screaming track fans. Tyson Gay won the 400 meters that night, running 45.02!
Can’t you just feel the excitement when these three guys line up together, somewhere, this summer? That will be a very fast race!

The future of our sport is with our sport’s heroes. Bolt, Spearmon and Gay can make headlines anywhere that they run. We look forward to seeing them run in the Diamond League this summmer!
