Kara Goucher has changed coaches and training groups. Per her blog at Competitor.com (http://karagoucher.competitor.com/2011/10/23/change-is-hard/), Kara Goucher announced, in a very poignant column, that she has changed coaches, from Alberto Salazar to Jerry Schumacher.

Alberto Salazar, the founder of the Oregon Project told writers at the TAFWA that his goal, in creating the project was to help American distance runners reach the top level. With Jerry Schumacher and Mark Rowland, both at the Oregon Track Club, Alberto has added onto what he can achieve.

Coaches and Athletes change during a career. We wish Kara Goucher and her husband Adam, the very best of luck as they train for the 2012 Olympic marathon trials in Houston.
