Day three was an epic day and night: Shelly-Ann Frayser-Pryce in the 100 meters, David Oliver in the 110 meter hurdles and Christine Ohuruogu in the women’s 400 meters, due to it’s very exciting finish!

Christine Ohuruogu has a reputation as a tough closer. In 2007 in Osaka, she won the gold medal with a tough finish, the same as in 2008. Ohuruogu is tough. She took second in London with a strong finish and has looked very goood this year.
Amantle Montsho won eight major races this year, setting several national records and having world leaders for most of the season, well until Day three.
As Amantle Montsho came off the turn she had a clear lead. Christine Ohuruogu was just unwinding her kick and she began to really run about 350 meters, and the move had to be seen to be believed. Ohuruogu’s finishing fifty meters just cut Montsho’s lead to pieces and the crowd went wild.
From my seats, I could not honestly tell if Christine O had overcome Amantle M’s lead, but it was true! Not only had Christone Ohuruogu won, she had broke the British record set thirty years ago with her winning time of 49.41 seconds!
