Valarie Allman is the newest discus legend, as she has just thrown the farthest discus throw in thirty years. Valarie is the most aggressive and focused discus throw that we have watched in decades! She has now moved ahead of, among others, Sandra Perkovic (London 2012 and Rio 2016 gold medalist), with her amazing discus throw, on the first day of the Triton Invitational.
Valarie Allman is the 2021 Olympic champion. In Tokyo, Valarie put the discus out there on her first throw in Tokyo. And then, it rained like hell. No one could come near Valarie, as Ms. Allman won by 2.12 meters!

On April 8, 2021, at the Triton Invitational, in La Jolla, California, Valeria Allman opened with a throw of 65.51m/214’11”.
Ms. Allman threw the discus 71.46 meters/ 234’5″ on her second throw. This throw (pending ratification) adds 30 centimeters onto her current AR of 71.16m/233’5″.
Her second throw was the longest throw since 1992.

Valarie had two fouls after the new AR. On her final two throws, Valarie threw 67.38m/221’00”, and on her final throw, 65.93m/ 216’3″.
Valarie Allman is the Olympic champion, Olympic Trials champion, and now owns 10 of the top 11 American women’s discus throws in US history. Valarie will be exciting to watch compete as she builds to the World Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon from July 14-25.
