The 2019 and 2022 World Champs were frustrating for Kyle, as he did not move on to the finals, but ended 2022 with a strong win and PB in Roverto! He also moved to Seattle, WA in the fall and is focused on competing well in Budapest! We thank Kyle for his answers and Jazmine Graham and Brooks PR for her help in expediting the interview.

Nice to end the season on a high💪 https://t.co/ssK05iK1YW

RunBlogRun, #1. What was your first experience in the sport of running?

Kyle Langford: My first experience was in high school my sports teacher asked me if I would like to run a cross country meet for school. I agreed, and ate two slices of pizza right before the race, around halfway I was leading and was being sick everywhere.

RunBlogRun, #2: What were your first experiences like in cross country?

Kyle Langford: I use to race cross country lots at the start of my running career but as I progressed up the age group the distances started becoming too long for me.

Very proud of my boyfriend @KyleLangford_96 ! Come into the shape of his life when it matters running a PB last week and then getting a bronze today. Praying we make our first senior team together🤞. You deserve to be at the worlds. My inspiration always✨ pic.twitter.com/WyeE35zmXj

RunBlogRun, #3: How long does it take you to acclimatize to high altitude?

Kyle Langford: I usually don’t take too long to acclimatize to the altitude, if I’ve had a long travel like a long-haul flight that’s the bit that takes me a few days to get over.

RunBlogRun, #4: What is your favorite Netflix addiction?

Kyle Langford: I love watching series and currently watching breaking bad. Thought it was fitting considering I’m in Albuquerque.

RunBlogRun, #5: What is your favorite book?

Kyle Langford: A book I’ve recently enjoyed was a book called “never split the difference” by Chris Voss.

RunBlogRun, #6: Do you have a favorite quote?

Kyle Langford: I’m a big quote person, I have a whole notes page filled with quotes I love! I usually write a quote on a piece of paper and stick it on a wall wherever I am. I currently have the quote “If you think the price of winning is too high, wait until you get the bill from regret.”

RunBlogRun, #7: What are your goals for 2023?

Kyle Langford: My main goal is to win a medal at the world championships in Budapest that can set me up to get the gold in Paris!
