By Jeff Benjamin

In 2022, Hillary Bor was ranked 10th in the world by World Athletics in the Steeplechase. Bor also competed at last year’s World Championships, finishing the Steeple in 8th place in Eugene.

Add in his performances over various distances, from 5K on the Track & Road to performances at 15K and a 46:06 10-Mile USATF Championships victory, and representing the U.S. at the 2023 World XC Championships and the Iowa State Alum has an impressive resume’!

But Hillary Bor wants more!

Here are 5 quick questions!

RunBlogRun, 1) How’s your training coming along & where are you based out of right now?

Hillary Bor:  “Training here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Been here for 10yrs now under coach Scott Simmons.  Training is going well so far; I had a great fall and am transitioning to track season.”

RunBlogRun, 2) What does your Outdoor track racing schedule look like at this point?

Hillary Bor: At this point, I plan on racing sound running on May 6. Then travel to Rabat for a diamond league May 28th and Paris June 9.”

RunBlogRun, 3) Any specific events you’d like to try and qualify for at the World Championships?

Hillary Bor:  “I will still focus on the Steeplechase to try and make my 4th world championships!”

RunBlogRun, 4) What keeps you motivated?

Hillary Bor:  “I have 2 kids, 5yr and 3yr old. They are my motivation.”

RunBlogRun, 5)  What advice can you give to young runners?

Hillary Bor:  “Be patient and consistent.  Training takes time, and in this sport, there are no shortcuts. You will probably have more disappointment before you achieve your results!”
