This is Coffee With Larry for Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Coffee With Larry is a daily podcast on track and field from #RunBlogRun.

Opinions are mine, Larry Eder, editor of RunBlogRun since 2007, co-founder with my brother, Brian Eder.

Our topics today:

1. Stuart Weir wrote the British Athletics Selection story, and while I disagree with him, it was quite well done; read it here: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/the-british-athletics-selection-controversy-explained-gb-team-and-policy-for-budapest.html

2. Did you read our piece on Nia Ali by Stuart Weir: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/nia-ali-getting-better-and-better.html

3. Deji wrote this one on Faith Kipyegon: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/kipyegons-third-world-record-puts-her-on-the-same-pedestal-as-the-all-time-greats.html

5. Stuart Weir wrote this fun piece on Jazmin Sawyers! https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/jazmin-sawyers-are-you-still-singing-you-made-wonderful-dresses.html

6. Stuart Weir wrote about Zharnel Hughes and his amazing season!

7. Deji Ogeyingbo wrote this very popular piece on Sha’Carrie Richardson, https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/reborn-shacarri-richardson-comes-back-from-the-brink-and-is-now-ready-to-become-the-world-champion.html

8. Sam Fariss wrote this piece on Ryan Crouser and his amazing London performance! https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/london-diamond-league-crouser-cant-be-calmed.html

9. Seb Coe spoke with print media earlier this week and focused on Budapest, the challenges of the pandemic, and hints at changes coming in 2026 to the sport. Watch for my story this week.

See you tomorrow on #CoffeeWithLarry.
