Athing Mu is one of the most brilliant athletes of her generation. Currently focused at 800 meters, her coach, Bobby Kersee told RunBlogRun’s Larry Eder last February 2023 that Athing could break the 800m WR but also be even more challenging at the 1,500 meters!

Athing was in the two most exciting 800m races of the year, finishing third in Budapest, and then, in Pre, the DL final as a guest, duking it out with Keely Hodgkinson, setting the AR, with Hodgkinson setting British NR (her second of 2023) and Natoya Goule, finishing in third in the Jamaican NR!

What will she do in 2024?
