VIEWING MILLIONS SET TO WATCH DUBAI MARATHON LIVE

Dubai Sports Channel Confirmed as Host Broadcaster

Dubai (UAE): Millions of viewers across the globe will be able to watch live when the 2024 Dubai Marathon gets underway tomorrow (January 7).

Organised under the auspices of the Dubai Sports Council and with Dubai Sports Channel confirmed as the official broadcaster of the event, TV stations, and online platforms have been signing up to take live coverage of the first international marathon of the new year.

The 2024 Dubai Marathon will be watched live by viewers across all continents.  While MBC Shahid/SSC will also be covering the MENA region, African viewers will be able to access the live coverage on four different channels, including the Ethiopia Broadcast Corporation, Sports Life, Africa XP, and Supersport

In Asia Pacific, Eurosport will provide access for the Indian sub-continent; Huya will cater for the Chinese market, with ASTRO Malaysia and Fox Australia also providing live coverage of the race as it unfolds from 6am (UAE time). The USA broadcast will be by Fortius Media along with Sport Max in the Caribbean and their US-focussed networks. In Europe, Sky Deutschland will follow the exploits of their athletes as they seek qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

And for those unable to access a TV feed, the global broadcast will be backed up by the Dubai Marathon’s official YouTube channel, which will offer global access with no geo-blocking. Link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQo6ka541Hw

H&A Media are the appointed broadcast coordinators and global media rights holders, with distribution support in selected markets by Sports Media Frontiers.

“It’s great to be back on our traditional fast, flat, scenic course in an Olympic Year and have such an immense level of interest from linear and digital broadcasters alike,” said Event Director Peter Connerton. “We invest in the quality of the television production, and partnering with Dubai Sports Channel to showcase the Emirates is a positive step.

While a host of international elites will fight it out for the prestigious Dubai Marathon trophy, thousands of everyday runners will also line up in the 4km Fun Run, the 10km Road Race, and the 42.195km Marathon itself. For those registered, run number collection takes place this week, while those yet to sign up can do so by Saturday (January 6) at the website dubaimarathon.org but must collect their run numbers before race day as no numbers will be distributed on the day of the event.

Holders of a valid UAE residence visa and UAE driving license who run can also have the chance to win an EXEED RX, courtesy of EXEED by Al Ghurair, the renowned premium vehicle brand represented by AG Auto in the UAE.

The 2024 Dubai Marathon is supported by the Dubai Sports Council, adidas, Dubai Duty-Free, EXEED by Al Ghurair, the Channel 4 Radio Network, ITP Media Group, Bisleri Water, Biofreeze, Dubai RTA, Dubai Police, Al Ameen Service, Dubai Municipality and SIRO One Za’abeel, the first fully integrated Fitness + Recovery hotel in Dubai.
