1. Sarah Hall was the second American woman and first American master in the 2024 Boston Marathon, finishing 15th in 2:27.58.

2. Sarah Hall turned 41 on April 15, 2024.

3. Sarah Hall was the most popular post during our #BostonMarathon coverage, with 232,400 views on FB, X, and Instagram.

4. Sarah Hall was one of our most famous athletes, appearing on the covers of California Track & Running News, Athletes Only, and American Track & Field.

5. Sarah Hall was known as Sara Bei before marrying Ryan Hall.

6. While at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, CA, Sara won the 1,600m and 3200m titles three times at CIF State. In 2000, Sara won the FootLocker XC title.

7. While at Stanford, Sara was a seven-time All-American, finishing in the top 3 at 5,000m and 3,000m indoors at NCAA.

8. Sara met Ryan Hall while at Stanford and married in 2005. Ryan has the fastest US time at Boston, with 2:04.58. Ryan Hall coaches Ben Blankenship, an Olympian at 1,500m, who ran a marathon recently, followed by a 100 miler (I am not making this up).

9. Sara has run in seven U.S. Olympic Trials, from the steeplechase to the 5,000m, to the 10,000m, to the marathon.

10. Sara Hall ran her first marathon in 2:48.02 at the 2015 LA Marathon, finishing 22nd. That began her journey at the marathon. Over the next four years, she ran marathons and other road races, showing her real talent at the marathon. In 2019, she ran a 2:22.19 PB at the Berlin Marathon, finishing fifth.

12. At the London Marathon on Oct. 4, 2020, Sara Hall ran a 2:22.01 in second, behind Brigid Kosgei.

12. At the 2020 Marathon Project, Dec. 2020, Sara Hall ran a 2:20.32 PB, taking first!

13. 2022 was a fine year for Sara; on March 16, 2022, she took 8th in the Tokyo marathon in 2:22.56.

14. On July 18, 2022, Sara Hall took fifth place at the World Championships in Eugene, 2022, in a time of 2:22:10.

15. In 2023, Sara Hall ran the Boston Marathon, finishing 2 25.48, finishing 17th, just 2 days after her 40th Birthday; Sara set the new American master’s marathon record.

14. On February 3, 2024, Sara Hall finished sixth in 2:26.06, a new American masters record, at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials.

15. On April 15, 2024, Sara Hall finished 15th at the 2024 BAA Boston Marathon in 2:27:58, a second American woman, and the second Masters in Boston 128. Sara turned 41 on Boston Marathon day.
