This is my daily chat with #RunBlogRun viewers and track fans on all things track & field!

This is Coffee with Larry for Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

Coffee with Larry is sponsored by #JAMBAR!

#JAMBAR is the Original Organic Artisan Sports Energy Bar, founded by Jenny Maxwell in 2021 after 3 years of development.
JAMBAR has 34 grams of carbohydrates and 10 grams of protein and is sweetened with maple syrup.

JAMBAR has five flavors, 4 of them vegan! The new #TropicalTrio tastes great!

JAMBAR is the Original Organic Artisan Sports Energy Bar, www.jambar.com, CODE Larry 15!

Jenny Maxwell and her late husband, Brian, founded the sports energy bar category in 1985 with POWERBAR. They sold the brand in 2000, and Brian passed in 2004. For the next two decades, Jenny raised their six children, and then, three years ago, at the suggestion of her youngest daughter, Jenny Maxwell, she began to develop JAMBAR.

I learned about JAMBAR at the Running Event last December, and it tastes great!

To order, please go to www.jambar.com and use CODE LARRY15 for a fifteen percent discount!

Our topics:

1. The importance of the 70th anniversary of the first sub-four-minute mile on May 6, 1954, at the Iffley Road Track at the University of Oxford should never be underestimated. Sir Roger Bannister, Chris Brasher, and Chris Chataway inspired generations of young men and women. Three thousand fans were there seventy years ago to see the Three Musketeers, as they were called, break four-minutes in challenging weather.
