ANCONA (ITA, Feb 23): Andrea Dallavalle leapt out to a lifetime best of 17.36m to win the triple jump at the Italian Indoor Championships to move to second on the 2025 world list. Simone Biasutti finished second (16.67 PB). Leonardo Fabbri won the shotput title with 21.85m ahead of reigning European indoor champion Zane Weir (21.76m) and Nick Ponzio (20.63m). World indoor bronze medallist Zaynab Dosso won the women’s 60m title in a fast 7.07 (7.10 in her semifinal), with Yassin Bandaogo winning the men’s 60m title in the absence of the big names in 6.69. In the 400m, Luca Sito won the men’s title in a national indoor U23 record of 46.15, with Italian record holder Alice Mangione winning the women’s 400m title in 52.18. Federico Riva and Ludovica Cavalli completed 1500/3000m doubles with victories in the 3000m in 7:57.12 and 9:03.66, respectively. Idea Pieroni cleared 191 in the high jump, and World U20 medallist Erica Saraceni (2006) improved to 13.71 in the triple jump.MIRAMAS (FRA, Feb 23): Thibaut Collet won a competitive pole vault at the French Indoor Championships, clearing 5.82m for victory ahead of former world record holder Renaud Lavillenie (5.76m), with Baptiste Thiery and Robin Emig third and fourth respectively on countback at 5.70m. Wilhem Belocian also won a very competitive men’s 60m hurdles final in 7.52, just ahead of Just Kwaou-Mathey (7.53), with Theo Pedre (7.61) and veteran Pascal Martinot-Lagarde (7.63) third and fourth, respectively. In the 400m finals, Jimy Soudril won the men’s 400m title in 46.03 PB ahead of Teo Andant (46.36), while Amandine Brossier dominated the women’s 400m final in 52.15. In other finals, Louey Ouerrat upset Yanis Meziane in the men’s 800m – 1:47.39 to 1:47.66 – while there were 1500m titles for Paul Anselmini in 3:41.62 and for Agathe Guillemot in 4:09.43. Melvin Raffin also won the triple jump title with 17.05m – his first 17 metre-plus mark since 2021 – ahead of Thomas Gogois (16.83m), and Teo Bastien won the heptathlon title with a lifetime best of 6026 points.DORTMUND (GER, Feb 23): European champion Malaika Mihambo won the long jump title at the German Indoor Championships with 6.79 ahead of Mikaelle Assani (6.57m) and European U20 heptathlon champion Sandrina Sprengel (6.47m), while fellow world leader Max Hess won the triple jump title with 17.00m. Other field event highlights included Anjuli Knasche clearing 4.50m in the pole vault and Tobias Potye clearing 2.24m to win the high jump from 2018 European champion Mateusz Przybylko at 2.21m. On the track, 60m winner Robin Ganter completed the sprint double with victory in the men’s 200m in a 20.85 short-track PB, and Jessica-Bianca Wessolly won the women’s 200m in 23.05. 18-year-old Johanna Martin won the women’s 400m title in 52.30 by almost one second from Skadi Schier (53.27). In the 1500m finals, Marius Probst dominated the men’s final with victory in 3:38.14 by over three seconds from Karl Bebendorf (3:41.69), while Majtie Kolberg won the women’s 1500m in a 4:13.65 PB ahead of steeplechase specialist Elena Burkard (4:13.78).BIRMINGHAM (GBR, Feb 23): A crowd of over 6000 attended the second day of the British Indoor Championships, where three Championship Records were broken. They were in the men’s 3000m (George Mills, 7:40.16), men’s 1500m (Neil Gourley, 3:38.84), and men’s shot put (Scott Lincoln, 20.86m). Fast 400m races provided wins for Alex Haydock-Wilson (46.70) and Amber Anning (51.40), with Lina Nielsen (51.77 PB) coming in second and Ama Pipi securing the European Indoor standard with 52.10 in third. Hannah Nuttall narrowly beat Laura Muir – in her first race since the Olympic Games – 8:49.49 to 8:50.16. Junior Innes FitzGerald was third (8:52.56) and Jess Bailey (8:54.79) fourth in her indoor debut. European Leader Melissa Courtney-Bryant was a withdrawal. Expected victories were in the women’s 1500m (Georgia Hunter Bell 4:13.23), men’s 800m (Justin Davies 1:47.26), and women’s 800m (Issy Boffey 2:04.24). In the field, Morgan Lake won the women’s high jump in 1.94m SB and Serena Vincent the women’s shot put (16.89m). Jacob Fincham-Dukes (7.69m) won the long jump in his first round jump, with an injury in the second round that saw him withdraw. Winners of the 200 m were Alyson Bell, 23.12 PB, and Joe Ferguson, 20.93 indoor PB. Callum Wilkinson won the 3000 m walk in 11:12.44.
MADRID (ESP, Feb 23): Enrique Llopis won the 60m hurdles title in 7.50 at the Spanish Indoor Championships ahead of the improving Abel Jordan 7.53 PB, having won the 60m title the previous day. Paula Sevilla won a competitive women’s 400m in 51.20 ahead of Blanca Hervas (51.44), Eva Santandrian (51.46) and Daniela Fra (51.64), overall personal bests for all, and Inaki Canal won the men’s 400m title in a fast 45.74 from Markel Fernández (46.24), short-track bests for both. Former world indoor champion Mariano Garcia won a competitive 800m in 1:46.05 ahead of Alvaro de Arriba (1:46.13) and Elvin Josue Canales (1:46.31), and Lorea Ibarzabal won a tactical women’s 800m in 2:07.77. Olympic 800m finalist Mohamed Attaoui won the men’s 1500m title in 3:48.61 ahead of European indoor 800m champion Adrian Ben in 3:49.00, while Esther Guerrero dominated the women’s 1500m, winning in 4:09.24. Other highlights included Adria Alfonso winning the men’s 200m in a new short-track NR of 20.65 and Maria Belen Toimil winning the shotput title with 17.49m. Marcos Ruiz topped the triple jump with 16.78.
APELDOORN (NED, Feb 23): After clocking 7.84 in her semifinal, Nadine Visser won the 60m hurdles final at the Dutch Indoor Championships in 7.90 ahead of Maayke Tjin A-Lim in 8.09. Lieke Klaver won the women’s 400m title in 51.11 ahead of Cathelijn Peeters (51.56 short-track PB), with 20-year-old Myrtle van der Schoot third in a 52.02 PB, and fellow Olympic mixed 4x400m champion Isaya Klein Ikkink won the men’s 400m title in 46.23. Another highlight was the men’s 1500m, which was won by European U23 champion Stefan Nillessen in a fast 3:37.08, short-track PB, ahead of Robin van Riel (3:37.37) and Noah Baltus (3:37.78), while in-form Samuel Chapple defeated Ryan Clarke in the men’s 800m final – 1:48.48 to 1:49.43. Pauline Hondema won the long jump title with 6.53m.
DUBLIN (IRL, Feb 23): European mixed 4x400m relay champion Sharlene Mawdsley won the 400m title at the Irish Indoor Championships in 51.91 ahead of Phil Healy (53.25). 17-year-old European U18 bronze medallist Conor Kelly won the men’s 400m title in a 46.54 U20NR/PB. Sarah Healy won the 1500m title in another championship record of 4:08.74, and Bori Akinola ran a 6.61 PB to win the men’s 60m title. David Kenny won the 3000m race walk in 19:04.76 PB.
TORUŃ (POL, Feb 23): Jakub Szymański stormed to 7.43 in the 60m hurdles to win the Polish Indoor title from Damian Czykier (7.62). Justyna Święty-Ersetic, in 51.52, defeated Natalia Bukowiecki (51.87) in the 400m, and Anna Matuszewicz leaped to 671 U23NR/PB in the long jump. 800m titles for Anna Wielgosz in 2:00.75 ahead of Angelika Sarna (2:00.76 short-track PB) and for Maciej Wyderka in 1:46.14 over Patryk Sieradzki (1:46.33 short-track PB). Weronika Lizakowska won the 3000m in 8:48.00 PB from Alicja Konieczek (8:53.00). Other notable winners include Piotr Lisek in the pole vault (560), Maksymilian Szwed in the 400m (46.03), Filip Rak in the 3000m (7:50.96 PB) and Piotr Tarkowski in the long jump (787).
OSTRAVA (CZE, Feb 23): Good 400 m and 200 m races at Czech Nationals. World U20 champion Lourdes Gloria Manuel won the 200 m in 23.21 overall PB, among men Tomas Nemejc 20.65 indoor PB over outdoor NR holder Ondrej Macik 20.79 indoor PB. There was a surprise in the men’s 400 m as Michal Desensky clocked 46.20, an overall PB ahead of favorite Matej Krsek at 46.37. For the relay, the top average, as third Milan Scibrani improved to 46.49, and fourth Vit Muller was still 46.52. On the women’s side, Nikoleta Jichova, 52.10, beat Tereza Petrzilkova, 52.72. It was a family affair as Kristina Sasinek Maki won the women’s 1500 m in 4:10.16 MR and Filip Sasinek men 1500 m in 3:39.05 also MR (ahead of Jan Fris 3:39.29 indoor PB). Jakub Dudycha dominated in the 800 m with a time of 1:47.25. Dukla Praha improved 4×200 m NR with 1:23.71 (Macik, Muller, Polak, Nemejc). From technical events, Matej Scerba 562 in the pole vault and Radek Juska 780 in the long jump.
GENT (BEL, Feb 23): Rani Rosius in 7.20 and Simon Verherstraeten in 6.65 PB topped the 60m sprints at the one-day Belgium Championships. Imke Vervaet improved her 200m overall PB to 23.01, and Elie Bacari won the 60m hurdles in 7.59. Elien Vekemans cleared 451 in the pole vault, Camille Laus stepped up and won the 800m in 2:02.62, short-track PB, and Ilona Masson leaped to 13.75 in the triple jump. Daniel Segers (46.47) defeated Jonathan Sacoor (46.71, short-track PB) in the 400m, while Martina Weil, topping the women’s 400m, clocked 51.87, short-track NR for Chile.
ST. GALLEN (SUI, Feb 23): Angelica Moser cleared 472 in the pole vault at the Swiss Indoors. Ditaji Kambundji won the 60m hurdles 7.82 from the heptathlete Annik Kälin (7.92 PB), while Jason Joseph topped the men’s hurdles in 7.45 over Simon Ehammer (7.71). Audrey Werro won the 800m in 2:01.13 ahead of Lore Hoffmann (2:01.25). Léonie Pointet clocked 23.29 in the 200m and 400m titles for Catia Gubelmann (52.94) and Vincent Gendre (47.06, short-track PB), and Dominic Lobalu stepped down to win the 1500m (3:48.63).
POMBAL (POR, Feb 23): Women’s shot put highlighted the final day of the Portuguese Indoor Championships. Jessica Inchude improved to 19.18 to win from Auriol Dongmo, who produced 19.00, her best since the 2023 DL final, and Eliana Bandeira (18.21). Isaac Nader stepped down to win the 800m in 1:46.18, short-track NR, and Catarina Karas clocked 8.16 PB in the 60m hurdles. 3000m titles for Miguel Moreira in 7:50.83 ahead of Nuno Pereira (7:50.86 PB), in a race with top 9 sub-8:00, and for Mariana Machado in 9:06.76. Chinese guest Zhang Mingkun leaped to 824 cm in the men’s long jump.
KYIV (UKR, Feb 23): Triple jump competitions delivered the best results on the final day of the Ukrainian Indoor Championships. Mariia Siney leaped to 13.96 and Vladyslav Shepeliev to 16.43.
VÄXJÖ (SWE, Feb 23): Fast 200m races highlighted the final day of the Swedish Indoors. Julia Henriksson clocked 22.84, equalled EL and short-track NR, to win ahead of Nora Lindahl (23.00, short-track PB), and Erik Erlandsson won the men’s race in 20.50 from William Trulsson (20.69, U20WL/U20NR/PB). Lovisa Karlsson clocked 8.14 in the 60m hurdles and added the silver medal in the long jump (645) behind Maja Åskag (647). Samuel Pihlström won the 1500m in 3:41.73.
BÆRUM (NOR, Feb 23): Henriette Jæger won her second title at the Norwegian Indoors, clocking 23.08 in the 200m. Elea Jørstad Bock topped the women’s 60m hurdles in 8.16, and Amanda Marie Frøynes won the 800m in 2:03.26 PB. Decathlete Sander Skotheim scored 212 in the high jump and got the second national title.
KUORTANE (FIN, Feb 23): Juha Alasaari cleared 562 in the pole vault at the Finish Indoor Championships. There are 60m hurdles titles for Lotta Harala in 8.04 (8.01 in heats ) over Nooralotta Neziri (8.08) and Elmo Lakka in 7.74. Senni Salminen leaped to 13.72 in the triple jump.
TALLINN (EST, Feb 23): The 60m hurdles finals were the most interesting events at Sunday’s program of the Estonian Indoors. Kreete Verlin clocked 8.09 and the decathlete Johannes Erm 7.99 PB.
BUCHAREST (ROU, Feb 23): Ramona Verman leaped to 653 PB= in the long jump and defeated experienced Alina Rotaru-Kottmann (641) at the Romanian Indoor Championships. Andrei Toader won the shotput with 20.72, and European U18 medallist Alessia Cristina Pop clocked 12:58.61 PB in the 3000m race walk.
ISTANBUL (TUR, Feb 23): Reigning European Indoor champion Tuğba Danişmaz won the triple jump with 13.66 at the Turkish Indoors.
NYIREGYHAZA (HUN, Feb 23): Great women hurdles at Hungarian indoors. Anna Toth improved to 7.95, a national U23 record, ahead of Luca Kozak at 7.97. Alexa Sulyan clocked the Hungarian 200 m indoor record of 23.38, and Attila Molnar won the men’s 21.08 indoor PB. Daniel Eszes won men hurdles in 7.76 PB and Lili Anna Vindics-Toth 9:05.18 PB in the 3000 m.
ZAGREB (CRO, Feb 23): Nino Jambresic won the 800 m at the Croatian Indoors in solid 1:47.92 indoor PB; hurdles talent Mia Wild got an 8.10 win. Veronika Drljacic improved her Croatian indoor 200 m record to 23.78. In men hurdles, Spencer Brown 7.81 (trains in Minnesota).
PIRAEUS (GRE, Feb 23): Another title for double Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou with 792 at Greek indoors. Ariadni Adamopoulou cleared an indoor PB 440 in the women’s pole vault. Sofia Iosifidou improved to 8.14 in the 60 m hurdles. Antonios Merlos cleared 220 in the high jump. Sotirios Garaganis won the 200 m in 21.12.
BELGRADE (SRB, Feb 23): Anja Lukic won the hurdles at the Serbian nationals with 8.12. Elzan Bibic got the second title in the 3000 m with 8:00.43, and Angelina Topic won the high jump as she did not continue after 180 clearance.
SOFIA (BUL, Feb 23): Bojidar Saraboyukov, after the triple, also won the long jump at Bulgarian nationals with 800 cm. Plamena Mitkova was the best in the women’s competition with 654 and also won a second title after the 60 m. Kristen Radukanova won the 200 m in 23.86 indoor PB.
LINZ (AUT, Feb 23): Talented hurdler Enzo Diessl returned after injury with a 7.67 win and missed the Apeldoorn standard by 0.04 but hopes for ranking qualification. Karin Strametz won women hurdles in 8.09 SB. Second gold medals went to Susanne Gogl-Walli, 53.50 in the 400 m (she is in preparation for Nanjing, not planning for Apeldoorn), and Raphael Pallitsch in tactical 1500 m 3:52.67.
NOVO MESTO (SLO, Feb 23): Nika Glojnaric won the hurdles at Slovenian Indoors in 8.11 (8.08 in heats), and Filip Demsar won in 7.81 in heats and finals in men hurdles. Jan Vukovic posted 1:48.03 in the 800 m.
TBILISI (GEO, Feb 22): At the Georgian Indoors, Lasha Gulelauri’s 16.22-meter triple jump and Giorgi Mujaridze’s 18.98-meter shot put were the two top marks.
RIGA (LAT, Feb 23): From Latvian Indoors to report Agata Caune 9:19.51 in the 3000 m and Raivo Saulgriezis 19:27.06 in men 5000 m walk.
PANEVEZIS (LTU, Feb 23): The Best result from the Lithuanian Championships in women’s triple jump was Dovile Kilty’s 13.80.
REYKJAVIK (ISL, Feb 23): Women’s national indoor 200 m record 23.69 by Eir Chang Hlesdottir highlighted Iceland nationals. Erny Soley Gunnarsdottir won women shot 17.41. Irma Gunnarsdottir came close to her triple NR with 13.31 (13.36 is the record).
LUXEMBOURG (LUX, Feb 23): One day Luxembourg nationals at the Coque were highlighted by 3000 m overall NR 9:07.54 by Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann. Patrizia Van der Weken was not competing.
BELGRADE (SRB, Feb 23): In the Bosnian Indoors, Abedin Mujezinovic won the 800 m in 1:53.35, and Bakir Music clocked indoor NR 21.71 in the 200 m.
