The NYRR Distance Carnival, held during the Brutus Hamilton Invitational (April 23) at UC Berkeley gave us a world leader at the women’s 3,000m (8:53.8) by Amy Begley, Galen Rupp running a 13:32 5,000 meters and a windy 28:27 by Tomiko Sato. The photos were done by our most prolific photographer, Victah Sailer of PhotoRun.net, who, then jumped on a plane, and joined me in London for the Virgin London Marathon!
