Mariya Kuchina set the all time high jump best for junior women today, clearing 1.97m on her second attempt. Kuchina is the Youth Games gold medalist, and quite frankly, we may be looking at a future World Champs gold medalist in the high jump (say 2015)! This young women has some wheels! the Youth Olympic Games winner. She cleared in second attempt world
junior all time best of 197 cm. “I m surprised, this something new for
me, but very special,” She was jumping in excellent manner like an
experienced athlete and had only two misses throughout the whole
competition. She managed 192 in second her first PB of the evening and
also world lead. But that was only a begin. Then excellent 194 in first
and the new “record” of 197 in second. She asked the crowd to be quiet
and no music and that paid off during . Sweden´s European medalist Emma
Green narrowly missed 190 in her first meet of the year. Former indoor
all-time best of Bulgarian Desislava Alexandrova was 196 from 1994
European Indoor Championships in Paris.
