Usain Bolt is planning his 2012 season, and Ostrava Golden Spike, for the sixth time, will be on his schedule. It is early on Friday in Birmingham, UK, spent some time with Dayron Robles and his coach, and feel that a very fast time this weekend is in store for the Cuban super star. Also, watch Mo Farah and Bernard Lagat in the two mile. The AR, the ER of 8:13.2, and the British record will be gone on Saturday, at the NAI stadium in Birmingham. mark my prediction.

Mo Farah ran a personal best for the indoor mile after stumbling and falling back 20 meters. As is his talent, Mr. Farah caught the field and nearly won the race! Farah is a superstar. He will run the two mile quite fast this weekend. I predicted 8:04. A keen observer predicted eight minutes. We will know in 36 hours!

Bolt for 6th Ostrava

PRAHA (CZE): Fastest man on earth confirmed his 6th appearance at Ostrava Golden Spike meet (fifth in the row since 2008). Usain Bolt will return to his usual early season fixture in Czech Republic on May 25 (IAAF World Challenge)  and currently plans a 1oo m race there. Organisers for first time secured his participation already 2004 when he was fresh world junior record holder but he was a late withdrawal. Since then he competed twice in 2oo and two times in 1oo added with one 3oo m in Ostrava.
"I am delighted to return to Ostrava for the sixth time in my career. It is widely known that I love the meet and it is one of the first meets that I pencil in my calendar each year. The Golden Spike meeting always has a full house and the fans are so full of energy - every year they push me to good performances. It is a good track and nice stadium where the fans are close to the action. Ostrava will be my first European Grand Prix in 2012. I have already announced the Golden Gala in Rome and the Bislett Games in Oslo the following weeks. After this I will return home to Jamaica to prepare for our Olympic Trials.  Training has gone well over the winter and I am looking forward to competing,"
says Bolt. Already confirmed are other top names like Veronica Campbell-Brown in women 2oo m, LaShawn Merritt and Oscar Pistorius in the 4oo m, Christian Cantwell and Dylan Armstrong in the shot put, Dayron Robles at 110 m hurdles and Barbora Spotakova in javelin.
