It is the eve of the Hollister night the first night of the Pre Classic. It will honor the late Geoff Hollister, employee number three at
Nike, when it was called Blue Ribbon Sports. Geoff was the champion of grass roots, and his spirit can be felt at Hayward Field, a place that he spent many days training, and many nights watching the sport that he loved.
Saturday’s program is three hours of the best track & field clashes that you will see anywhere. What gives this even more cache, is that the 2012 Olympic Trials are weeks away.
