Who has the edge, James or Merritt? Watch for a 400 meter men’s race that will be an epic battle as Kirani James and LaShawn Merritt battle. In the long Jump, Mitchell Watt should be impressive, as should Paul Kipsele Koech, who is running the steeplechase.

Next Friday, the best athletes in the world will meet in Monaco on the occasion of the Samsung Diamond League meeting Herculis as their last stop before heading to London for the Olympics.
As an opening, USA 4x100m teams will bring their best games to test themselves before the Olympics Games, and should bring on Louis II track Tyson GAY, Justin GATLIN, and also Carmelita JETER and Allyson FELIX.
On the men’s 400m, it will look like an Olympic final as well, with World Champion Kirani JAMES, World Champion and World Leader LaShawn MERRITT, and 3rd in Daegu Kevin BORLEE; he will be join by his twin brother Jonathan BORLEE, but also Dominican Luguelin SANTOS who just won World Junior Championships this week in Barcelona and European Champion from Helsinki Pawel MASLAK.
3000SC, Paul Koech against the clock, maybe to set a new stadium record? (7.53.64) But also perhaps a surprise world junior champion Conseslus KIPRUTO that just raced in 8.06 in Barcelona.
World Champion Jesse WILLIAMS will meet European Champion Robbie GRABARZ, but NCAA Champion Eryk KYNARD is hungry for his first Samsung Diamond League meet. The best throwers in the World will gather in Monaco.
Athletes to watch, there will be the 2012 European Champion Sandra PERKOVIC of Croatia, 2008 Olympic Champion, Stephanie BROWN-TRAFTON of the USA,and Nadine MULLER of Germany.
Australian Mitchell WATT is the favorite for the men Long Jump after his win this weekend in London, but European Champion Sebastian BAYER, US Champion Marquise GOODWIN and British Greg RUTHERFORD went further than 8.30m this season and will be ready in Monaco.
