The thirty-first meeting of Madrid had some fantastic races! Nesta Carter ran 9.87 for 100 meters. Brandon Johnson had his second time under 1:44-running 1:43.84, a new personal best. Tyler Mulder ran 1:44.89, for fourth-his personal best. 


On the women’s side, Barbara Pierre ran 10.92 for the 100 meter win. LaTavia Thomas won the 800 meters in 2:01, with Jenny Simpson, the 2011 World Champ, finished third in 2:02. In the 1,500 meters, Gabby Anderson kicked her way into the win with Morgan Uceny in second.
