The defending champion from the 2012 World Indoor Championship 1,500 meters, Genzebe Dibaba, showed her fitness on Saturday, February 1, 2014 with a new World Indoor record, of 3:55.17, that is faster than the Ethiopian outdoor record!
Dibaba dropped back down to the 1,500 meters after some frustration at the 5,000 meters (she has run 14:37.56).
