The Continental Cup is the last major event of a very long season in 2014. adidas is a sponsor of the IAAF and their key championship events.

RunBlogRun will be in Marrakech to cover this exciting end to the 2014 athletic season.

MARRAKECH (MAR): The Continental Cup in Marrakech on September 13 and 14 will feature many of the world’s leading athletes, inform IAAF. Anita Wlodarczyk will be one of the main attractions after setting a new women’s hammer world record in Berlin. She will be joined in the European team by another world record setter in 2014, Renaud Lavillenie. Dafne Schippers, Greg Rutherford, Sifan Hassan, Ruth Beitia, Pawel Fajdek and Sandra Perkovic are the other world leaders on Europe’s team. The America’s team has a star in Caterine Ibarguen, who is the 5th best female triple jump performer all-time after her 15.31 in Monaco. The other world leaders on the Americas squad are Joe Kovacs, Javier Culson, Francena McCorory, Ajee Wilson, Dawn Harper Nelson, Kaliese Spencer, Fabiana Murer and Tianna Bartoletta. Africa’s world leaders are Jairus Birech, Genzebe Dibaba, Hellen Obiri, Nijel Amos, Caleb Ndiku, Ihab Abdelrahman and Hiwot Ayalew.
