Lavillenie for ISTAF Indoor

BERLIN (GER): IAAF Athlete of the Year Renaud Lavillenie will compete at ISTAF Indoor Berlin on February 14, reportrbb-online.de. The meet director Martin Seeber is working in collaboration with pole vault great Sergey Bubka to assemble a top class pole vault field for the meet. Malte Mohr cleared 590 on his third attempt to win the pole vault in this year’s edition of the meet. Organisers are expecting to have over 10 000 spectators.

(Editor’s note: Renaud Lavillenie is on a single focused quest: bringing the pole vault to the entire world! He competes at the Pole Vault Summit, in Reno, Nevada, and enjoys indoor, outdoor and yes, jumping on beach vaults. Add to that, Le Mans 24 heures, and a pretty decent decathlon, and you have the man who broke Sergey Bubka’s record.)
