In a dramatic piece in L’Equipe, the French daily sports magazine and website, Russian athletes and former Russian RUSADA staffers clearly note that they believe Russian athletes are cheating as they compete in track & field. The story can be read here: http://www.lequipe.fr/Tous-sports/Actualites/-99-des-athletes-russes-se-dopent/519587.
This article, and much longer article on page 13 of the 3 Decembre 2014 L’
Equipe newsletter follows up on the German TV show, being shown in two parts, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The German program, which this writer has not seen, is covering the belief that doping in Russian Athletics is huge. The second part of the program will focus on Lilya Shobukhova, the Russian marathoner who is fighting a positive test for EPO, and who, it is being noted, tried to bribe officials into dismissing her positive test.
Once we have seen more details, we will report on the program and articles by L’Equipe.
