Editor’s Note: Caroline Rotich was a surprise winner of the Boston marathon this year. That is one of the wonderful thing about Major Marathons. There are so many runners who should be in our radar when considering who could win a major event. Caroline Rotich had come close. Her jubilant finish says it all: happiness at a race well run and well raced.

Norcross, Ga. (April 30, 2015) – Mizuno USA, a global leader in footwear, apparel and accessories, confirmed it has signed a multi-year renewal contract with 2015 Boston Marathon Women’s Winner, Caroline Rotich. The partnership has a global reach, with specific USA responsibilities. Mizuno will continue to be the exclusive provider of running footwear, apparel and accessories for Rotich.

An accomplished elite marathon runner, Rotich recently won the 2015 Boston Marathon with a winning time of 2:24:55. She is vying for a spot on the 2015 World Championships team as well as the 2016 Olympic Team for Kenya. Rotich will be representing Mizuno in the 2015 AJC Peachtree Road Race, organized by the Atlanta Track Club on July 4th in Atlanta.

“Caroline has been a strong contributor to the global Mizuno elite racing team for many years, and we see continued success in the coming years,” said Kim Hoey, Mizuno Running Division Brand Director. “Moreover, watching Caroline sprint to the finish line in Boston with a smile on her face is a true testimony to her determination and passion for running. This is what Mizuno is about, the true love of sport.”

Rotich is the latest professional runner to sign with Mizuno as a Brand Ambassador. She joins an elite roster that includes, Christo Landry, Serena Burla, Craig Leon, and Lindsay Flanagan.

“I’m honored to continue my running journey with the Mizuno family,” said Rotich. “For a runner the most important tool besides our character is what we wear on our feet and body. I believe Mizuno provides the best running product available today, and I feel very proud to represent the brand, especially leading up to the 2016 Olympics.”
