The quandary for publishers is how, when one is multi platform, does one reveal winners of various awards and contests? Some readers get upset when they see the awards online before their print issue arrives, and some, well, just do not care. As a publisher, I try to keep all happy. Truth is, that gets more difficult by the day.

We are trying things a bit different, waiting until all of our publications have mailed print and digital formats to remind our readers of the best in spring running shoes.

Give us your thoughts. Please send me a note to fortiusmedia@gmail.com.

Fortius Media Group, LLC, Reveals Top Honors in 2015 Spring Shoe Review

SAN JOSE – After hundreds of miles run by testers, the Fortius Media Group, LLC, reveals the top running shoes in the 2015 Running Network Spring Shoe Review.

“The 2015 Spring Shoe review and 2015 Spike review are two of our most popular and powerful reviews. The goal is to find the right shoe for your needs, and with the high quality of products available across North America, there are some great options,” noted Larry Eder, the publishing director of the Fortius Media Group, LLC. “Cregg Weinmann and his 300 plus wear testers have one goal, to help you find a great running shoe. Remember that their suggestions should be the starting point for your shoe search. Make sure your shoe search ends at a local run specialty store.”

This spring the Fortius Media Group, LLC, put the best running shoes available to the test. During the testing process, shoes are carefully matched to the foot shape, motion and footstrike of hundreds of wear testers. Each tester runs 100 miles in the shoes and evaluates them throughout the process on seven key performance characteristics. Evaluation data is entered into a software system developed by Cregg Weinmann, the Fortius Media Group’s footwear reviewer, to decide a winner in each category.

Earning top honors for spring 2015 are the Saucony Zealot ISO for best new shoe, Brooks Ravenna 6 for best motion stabilizing shoe, ASICS GT-2000 3 for best renovation, adidas Supernova Glide Boost 7 for best neutral shoe and New Balance Fresh Foam Zante for best performance shoe.

Earning top honors in the Spring 2015 Track & Field Shoe Review are the Brooks PR LD 3 for best value track and field shoe and the New Balance LD 5000 v2 for best shoe track and field.

“There are hundreds of shoes released each year, whether they are brand new to the scene or thoughtfully produced updates. With this kind of volume it is very difficult for the serious runner to keep track of changes to shoes that could work for them and the recreational runner that is still sorting out what a proper running shoe is has a completely daunting task. We try to pare this volume down to manageable bites,” said Weinmann.

Established in 2010, Fortius Media Group, LLC, is a media company focused on developing creative approaches to building interest in the sport of global athletics. In August 2013, Fortius Media Group, LLC, purchased the assets of the Running Network LLC.
