Larry Eder responds: The HOKA ONE ONE Middle Distance Classic is a very important event. In the early 1990s, when the Santa Monica Distance Classic was running, Stan Mavis, then, at Pearl Izumi, and I began conversations about a series of meets around the country like Oxy.
I stayed up all night to watch it from Doha last year!
