OSTRAVA (CZE): Also here a return of the French star. Renaud Lavillenie has signed up for the Golden Spike in Ostrava on 20 May (IAAF World Challenge) where he will be aiming to win for a fourth time, informs organisers. The world record-holder opened his previous Olympic campaign with a victory in Ostrava in 2012, setting a meeting record of 5.90m which he improved to 5.92m the following year. He will face in a top duel of the day the 2015 World Champion Shawn Barber and home elite Jan Kudlicka with Michal Balner. Also in the field the best youth jumper ever, Greek Emmanouil Karalis who improved during the indoor season the youth all-time best to 554 cm.
