NAIROBI (KEN): World record holder at 800 m David Rudisha fears Kenya might be excluded from the Rio Olympics with the country likely to be deemed non-compliant by the World Anti-Doping Agency, reports the Washington Times. Kenya was given a second deadline of April 5 by WADA to prove its commitment to anti-doping but the Kenyan government failed to pass new legislation to criminalise doping before it went on a monthlong recess last week. “We are training hard and it is a pity if all this will go down the drain if Kenya is banned from the sport,” said Rudisha. “We were given enough time to do all these things. I don’t understand why these people are not treating the matter with a lot of seriousness. It’s really unfortunate because the ball was thrown to them – the government and the (sports) ministry.”
