Hejnova opens in Doha
DOHA (QAT): World 200m champion Dafne Schippers will go head-to-head with world 400m champion Allyson Felix over 100m at the Doha Diamond League on 6 May. Felix has won eleven successive races in Doha and holds the meeting records at 100m (10.92), 200m (21.98) and 400m (49.83). The line-up also includes Tori Bowie, Murielle Ahoure and Veronica Campbell-Brown. The 110m hurdles has also attracted an excellent line-up including world indoor 60m hurdles champion Omar McLeod, Olympic champion Aries Merritt, world silver medallist Hansle Parchment, Frenchmen Dimitri Bascou and Garfield Darien and 2013 world champion David Oliver, who is looking for his fourth victory in Doha. Elsewhere, two-time world champion Zuzana Hejnova will compete in the 400m hurdles where she will face opposition from Kemi Adekoya, Kaliese Spencer and world bronze medallist Cassandra Tate. In the 200m, home favourite Femi Ogunode takes on Alonso Edward and Nickel Ashmeade.
