NEW YORK (USA): Dathan Ritzenhein is not writing off his chances and believes he is in shape to win the New York Marathon on Sunday, informs LetsRun. “I want to put myself in position to win. If I’m on the podium, I would be happy, but really I want to have a chance to win. I think getting on the podium might be a little bit easier this year than past years because it’s not as deep,” he said. Ryan Vail has said he’s lowered his weekly mileage after three stress-related injuries in the past two years but he still aiming to finish ahead of Ritzenhein for domestic bragging rights.
