Roeya Vaughan is the ASICS VP of Marketing. Ms. Vaughan is a relatively new arrival at ASICS, and in ten months, she has been seen as bringing a new view and spirit into ASICS Marketing. Roeya has worked for several of the finest brands, including Oakley.
This interview was done by RunBlogRun on November 7, 2016. An event for @ASICSExtraMile program was done on the morning after TCS New York City Marathon. The ASICS Extra Mile provides a free pair of shoes for each extra mile run on @runkeeper, an ASICS sponsored app for running. The donated shoes go to @Girlsontherun, a national series of clubs promoting life lessons from sports and group activities for young women across the U.S. So far, ASICS has donated 28,000 pairs of running shoes and projects donating 50,000 pairs.
In this interview, Roeya spoke of her excitement on working at ASICS, some of the changes that ASICS is looking at, and managing promotions for the final New York City Marathon sponsored by ASICS. Engaging and thoughtful, Roeya Vaughan is an example of the open approach that CEO Gene McCarthy wants to bring to ASICS America.
We thank Roeya Vaughan for her time. We thank Melinda Hutcheon for making the interviews possible.
