Drouin and Beitia to Slovakia
BANSKA BYSTRICA (SVK): Both Olympic winners Derek Drouin and Ruth Beitia will be the headline stars of 23rd Banska Bystrica Indoor high jump meeting with music on February 8 in Slovakia. The event will be first leg of International High Jump Tour which will end on February 11 in Trinec, Czech Republic with 5000 USD for overall Tour winners. Drouin will debute at an European indoor meeting with music but looks forward to it. “Yes it will be my first, but I heard lot of good words about this meet from other jumpers,” he said. Beitia comes to Central Slovakia for the third time in her career but never won before. Drouin will meet with 2012 Olympic medalist Erik Kynard in their only duel in the indoor season along with Bahamian 2007 World Champion Donald Thomas.
