The 2017 Skechers Performance LA Marathon was an exciting race on both the men’s and women’s elite sides. The men’s race built and built. As the pace quickened, the field became smaller and smaller. By 23 miles, it was down to three and then, two. Elisha Barno and Daniel Limo battled, with a 4:40 mile as Barno tried to gain control of his stomach. As Limo looked to be breaking Barno, the first time LA Marathoner charged back to the lead, and in a 4:49 mile, Barno began to build a lead, which was 24 seconds by the finish.
