On behalf His Excellency Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the people of Lagos, we are pleased to announce our major sporting event in continuation of celebrating Lagos@50.
On Wednesday July 12, 2017 Lagos will host the biggest ever One Day Athletics Meet ever in Africa at the “Lagos Anniversary Classic” to be held in Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Many of the best athletes in the world including world record holders, Olympic and World Champions will attend the meet with positive discussions well in advance with their representatives toward confirming their participation.
As soon as more details are received we will make them available including the date for an international press conference later this month.
