SHANGHAI (CHN): Two-time Olympic 800m champion David Rudisha will make his season’s debut in the Shanghai Diamond League on 13 May where he will face his Kenyan teammates Ferguson Cheruiyot and Alfred Kipketer as well as Poland’s Adam Kszczot and Marcin Lewandowski, informs organisers. Olympic 1500m champion Faith Kipyegon will face Ethiopians Dawit Seyaum and Besu Sado and European champion Angelika Cichochka while Olympic silver medallist Hellen Obiri is the favourite in the 5000m with Ethiopia’s Almaz Ayana a late withdrawal. World champion Hyvin Kiyeng goes head-to-head with Olympic champion and world record-holder Ruth Jebet in the steeplechase again with world U20 record-holder Celliphine Chespol also in the line-up.
