2017 Frankfurt Marathon Diary: Vivian Cheruiyot takes three questions

Vivian Cheruiyot is running her second marathon at the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon on October 29, 2017. RunBlogRun will cover the event live from the media room, with splits, pithy observations and, when there's time, some commentary. Vivian Cheruiyot will be a focus of that commentary, as she intends to run fast. With the half marathon request at 70 minutes, that pace will feel much better than the 67:56 that she ran during the London Marathon, last April.

Of her debut marathon, Vivian Cheruiyot smiled, and said, quite nuanced, that she had learned much from her first experience. " When I ran so fast for the 20k, I knew that we had 22 k more to go. So, I told myself to slow down." Vivian Cheruiyot is a yeoman marathoner, but she has a skill set, like Tirunesh Dibaba of great success on the track.

How well can Vivian Cheruiyot do on the roads? The sky is the limit, in this writer's mind. I do believe, that between Tirunesh Dibaba, Vivian Cheruiyot, and Mary Keitany, we are seeing a completely new evolution of women distance runners.
