Bank of America Chicago Diary: Mayor Emmanuel speaks on security

CHICAGO (USA): Security will be stepped up for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon following this week's mass shooting. Mayor Rahm Emanuel told The Chicago Tribune the city will "double check and triple check" arrangements and said the number of undercover officers in the crowd will be increased.

RunBlogRun opines: There is no right answer on security. How does one comfort and give 40,000 runners and their families a sense of security one week after a mass shooting? Mayor Rahm Emmanuel did a nice job, as did Carey Pinkowski, as both answered the questions of the media head on.
