Danil Lysenko soars over 2.36 meters

MOSCOW (RUS, Jan 21): Reigning world silver medallist Danil Lysenko won first Battle of the Sexes indoor high jump meeting. The winner was identified based on Hungarian scoring tables. Lysenko cleared World leading mark of 236 (1233 points) in first attempt and was very close to success at 240. Two-time world champion Mariya Lasitskene scored 1209 points as overall second placer. She went over 199 in first attempt. She also tried at 202. Third Aleksey Dmitrik and fourth Ilya Ivanyuk cleared 226 (1143 points). London Olympic champion Ivan Ukhov made only one successful jump at his opening height 218. Then the 31-year-old jumper skipped 223 and failed at 226.
