Her high jump clearance of 1.89 meters, you guessed, put her into first again, with a score of 1, 093 points for a total of 2,227.
In event three, the shot put, Erica put the shot 12.76 meters for a score of 711 points. Erica’s total score of 2,938 points kept her in first, with Kendall Williams in second, with a throw of 12.55m, for a score of 2,705.
In event four, Erica Brougardd, being mere mortal did not win the long jump. Kendall Williams leaped 6.38m for 939 points (total was 3674). Erica Brougardd kept lead, with a 6.20m leap for 911 points, and a total of 3,850 points.
Erica Brougardd put it all into the 800 meters, running 800 meters in 2:13.77, with 910 points for a total of 4,760 points. The U.S. record for the pentathlon is 4805, so the 4,760 score is number two ever in U.S. history.
