In the amazing battle that was the men’s long jump, Juan Miguel Echevarria battled Luvo Manyonga and Marquis Dendy, where the the nineteen year old Cuban won with a leap of 8.46 meters, Luvo Manyonga, with two leaps, of 8.33 meters and 8.44 meters and Marquis Dendy, took the bronze in a PB of 8.42 meters.

Here is our interview with the fine young Cuban Long Jumper, who told us that he wanted two things in Birmingham, to take the gold and battle Luvo Manyonga. He did both!
